Machine for petinet knit works faster, more efficiently and safely

The drive appts. has: an arm (3) swivelling about the axis of a lift shaft (40) for the edge comb (32) to which is linked a camshaft drive (11,2) for the vertical component of the swivelling action; a second arm (4) for the petinet comb (43,43') which moves temporarily in synchronism with the edge comb; and means (42,42') for the temporary laying aside of comb groups. The machine is furnished with thread guides which can be tilted away under control. Here, the second arm is placed to swivel about a fixed axis on the machine frame, pref. the comb lifting shaft and it is equipped with driven swivel rods (41,41') and levers (42,42') to which the tilting thread guides are fixed but detachable.
