The invention relates to a method for evaluating the phase shift associated with the propagation of a wave emitted by a space radar through the ionosphere. BR/ This method comprises the steps of: BR/ - forming a first (1c) and a second (2c) interferogram from two pairs of radar images (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b) obtained using respectively two space radars working at respective wavelengths lambda1 and lambda2 checking the relationship m lambda1 = n lambda2, where m and n are integers, said radars being placed on the same satellite, BR/ - performing the linear combination n vphi1 - m vphi2 of the respective phases vphi1 and vphi2 of the first and second interferograms, the part fractional fraction of this linear combination being representative of the non-Euclidean effects affecting the images of the space radars used to produce said interferograms.
