PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a punch press provided with a regular die and a wheel die, and a working method capable of solving a problem specific to the wheel die in the working in which the wheel die is used. ;SOLUTION: In a punch press provided with a regular die and wheel dies 1, 6 to perform the forming such as punch and drawing of a plate work 11, a control device has the point-to-point function to control so that a plurality of working positions on a work 11 are moved below the regular die through the shortest route to continuously perform the working such as punching when punching and forming is performed to an arbitrary position of the work 11 using either die, and a contour control function to control so that the work 11 is moved along the working route including an arbitrary line or curve or arbitrary line and curve to continuously perform the cutting and forming.
