PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an antigen or antibody with a high sensitivity in a short time by enzyme immunoassay. ;SOLUTION: This enzyme immunoassay uses as the reagent an immunologically active substance-enzyme copolymer obtd. by copolymerizing an immunologically active substance monomer represented by the formula: A-[(Y1)k-(X1)m-R1]n (wherein A is a residue of an antibody or antigen; R1 is a free-radical-polymerizable group; X1 and Y1 are each a divalent group; (m) and (k) are each 0 or 1; and (n) is 1 or higher) and an enzyme monomer represented by the formula: E-[(Y2)r-(X2)p-R2]q (wherein E is an enzyme residue; R2 is a free-radical-polymerizable group; X2 and Y2 are each a divalent group; (p) is 0 or 1; and (q) is 1 or higher). After a specimen contg. an antigen or antibody is brought into contact with the reagent to subject the specimen and the copolymer in the reagent to antigen-antibody reaction, the resultant reaction product is measured by utilizing its enzyme activity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
