PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a titanium thin sheet in which the surface of the titanium thin sheet is hardly flawed at the time of secondary processing and excellent in flawing resistance. ;SOLUTION: In an annealing stage of a titanium coil subjected to cold rolling, its temp. is raised to 400°C to less than the annealing temp. while the degree of vacuum is retained to ≤0.0008Torr using a batch type vacuum furnace, successively, the evacuation is stopped, gaseous nitrogen having ≥99.999% purity is sealed therein, and succeedingly, annealing is executed under the conditions of 600 to 700°C heating temp. and 1 to 10 hr retaining time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
