CHAFF ACETIC ACID LIQUID, ITS PRODUCTION AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING CHAFF CHARCOAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a chaff acetic acid liquid having promoting actions on the growth of plants, deodorant actions, insect repellent and antimicrobial actions and soil improving actions as a part of effective utilization of chaff rejected in a large amount by rice cropping by allowing a smoke emitted when carbonizing the chaff to cool and distilling and purifying the resultant liquid product. SOLUTION: This chaff acetic acid liquid is obtained by distilling and purifying (A) a liquid product prepared by allowing a smoke emitted in a process for carbonizing chaff to cool. The chaff acetic acid liquid is obtained by collecting, e.g. the liquid product A, allowing the collected liquid A to stand, separating the resultant product liquid A into three layers, removing an oil component in the upper layer and a tar component in the lower layer, providing a chaff acetic acid liquid stock solution in the middle layer, heating and distilling the resultant stock solution, filtering the distillate liquid according to an active carbon filtration method, adsorbing and removing impurities, affording a purified liquid and then carrying out the decoloring treatment of the purified liquid with an activated clay.
