METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING WEIGHTED HIGHER-ORDER GRAPH EXPRESSION KNOWLEDGE BASE AND METHOD FOR CALCULATING WEIGHT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a knowledge base by deciding the weight of higher-order side of a weighted higher-order graph by providing a method for applying the weight even when it is difficult to decide the weight from an example through statistical processing. ;SOLUTION: This method for constituting the weighted higher-order graph is realized based on evolutional calculation algorithm to repeatedly hold and update the group of plural solution candidates. In a process 0301, the solution candidates are expressed as a group Ei of higher-order sides and based on this expression, crossing-over/mutation in the reconstitution process of 0305 is proposed. This crossing-over is composed of an exchanging means for weighted higher-order sides and an adjusting means for weight in case that the higher-order sides are overlapped as a result of crossing-over. Thus, the higher-order graph probably generated in the reconstitution process of crossing- over/mutation is evaluated in an evaluation process and any graph having the satisfactory evaluated result is selected in a high probability.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
