PRODUCTION OF RAW SOIL FOR BUILDING-CONSTRUCTING MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION OF BUILDING-CONSTRUCTING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a building-constructing material of lightweight, steadiness, excellent in heat and sound-insulating properties by forming and firing the raw soil for building-constructing material which is prepared by crushing, water- adding and kneading carbon-free and expandable raw materials. ;SOLUTION: Carbon-free and expandable raw materials are crushed to a desired particle size, combined with water an kneaded to a prescribed viscosity to prepare the raw soil for building-constructing material. This raw soil is filled in a mold, the molded product is dried and fired to give the objective building-constructing foamed material molded in a prescribed form. The carbon- free and expandable raw material is, for example, sedimentary rock, clay stone, clay minerals and the like. The firing conditions are varied depending on the composition of the raw soil, particle size and other conditions, but in a temperature range from 900°C-1,350°C for about 4-10 hours.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
