SLUDGE TRANSPORT METHOD IN MUDDY WATER TYPE SHIELD CONSTRUCTION METHOD AND TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a relay pump at an intermediate part of a sludge pipe and ensure a working area behind a shield excavating area in a tunnel so as to be able to perform work such as the conveyance of shield segments, piping construction during shield excavation, or secondary lining during shield excavation even with a small tunnel diameter. ;SOLUTION: While feeding muddy water into a shield chamber 18 of a shield excavator 18 through a feed mud pipe 20, muddy water in the shield chamber 18 is discharged together with excavated sediment through a sludge pipe 22 to excavate a tunnel. In this case, a first sludge pump is disposed on the uppermost reaches of the sludge pipe 22, and a first pressure regulating tank and a large-displacement high-head pump 44 are placed on a rear truck, positioned on the lower reaches of the first sludge pump, so as to connect the sludge pipe 22. A second pressure regulating tank and a second sludge pump are installed at a shaft part of the sludge pipe 22 to transport sludge.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
