PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a player to make more musical arpeggio playing of a higher level with a simple operation relating to an arpeggiator which scans key touch information and successively forms plural pieces of playing information according to the results of the scanning. ;SOLUTION: Plural scan systems, for example, the one or plural scan systems selected from among an ascending scan system, descending scan system, etc., are previously recorded in the respective steps of a scan mode table. At the time of the actual arpeggio playing, the playing information is produces while the key touch information is scanned according to the referenced scan modes while the scan modes recorded in the respective steps of the scan mode table are successively referenced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
