PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately predict a high speed event by predicting pressure inclination at an inlet by use of a miniature model, and predicting the relation between the inlet pressure inclination and outlet pressure inclination by use of actually measured value in a tunnel. ;SOLUTION: A buffering work 5 for a tunnel is provided with a cover 3 having a larger area S2 than the sectional area S1 of a tunnel 2, at an entrance of the tunnel 2, and frontage parts 4 formed at its side surface. For optimizing the buffering work 5, by use of miniature models of buffering work 5, tunnel 2 and train 1, the inlet pressure inclination of pressure wave generating at the entrance when the train 1 rushes in the tunnel 2 at a high speed over a specified level through the buffering work 5 is predicted. Then, by use of the actually measured value in the tunnel 2, the relation between the entrance pressure inclination and exit pressure inclination is predicted. Based on the predicted data, the air pressure sound generating when the train 1 rushes in the tunnel 2 at the high speed is predicted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
