ENTERIC COATED PREPARATION COATED WITH SOLVENTLESS ENTERIC COATING AGENT USING POWDERY OR PELLET WAX

PURPOSE: To obtain an enteric coated preparation by coating a solid preparation with a finely powdery enteric coating agent by heating while sprinkling a powdery or pellet wax. ;CONSTITUTION: This enteric coated preparation is obtained by coating a granule, a fine granule or a medicine raw material with a finely powdery enteric coating agent (e.g. hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose acetate succinate) having ≤10μm particle diameter by heating at ≥ the melting point of a powdery or pellet wax (e.g. cetyl alcohol) being a solid at a normal temperature and having a melting point of 40°C and ≤90°C melting point while sprinkling the wax. The enteric coated preparation having acid resistance obtained by solventless coating not requiring drying is obtained in a short time. A production process can be shortened due to nonrequirement of drying of solvent and a short coating time. A medicine unstable to water and an organic solvent is applicable by solventless coating. A surfactant, etc., generally used as a dispersant in an aqueous enteric coating are not required.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
