PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which is capable of real-timely and automatically measuring the property of a slurry material such as sludge in a treatment process. SOLUTION: This device for measuring property of a slurry material is equipped with an incorporation cylinder 2, a quantitative incorporation piston pair consisting of a pair of front and rear pistons 3, 4, an actuation means 5, a measurement tank 8 and a measurement means 10. The measuring device is connected to a transfer pipe P of the slurry material through the connection opening 2w of the incorporation cylinder and used. In the measuring operation thereof, the slurry material is incorporated into the incorporation cylinder 2 in the volume corresponding to the interval S between both pistons 3, 4 by retreating the quantitative incorporation piston pair from the initial position shown by a two-dot chain line. The slurry material is supplied to the measurement tank 8 by narrowing the interval S between both pistons 3, 4 and its property is measured by the measurement means 10. After this measurement is finished, the interval between both pistons is returned to the original state and the slurry material is returned from the measurement tank to the incorporation cylinder 2. Furthermore, the slurry material is returned to the transfer pipe P by returning the quantitative incorporation piston pair to the initial position.
