PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate adaptation to any pearl necklace even when the diameter of the pearl is different by making a length adjusting operation simple and easy in a clasp with a length adjusting function of the pearl necklace. ;SOLUTION: Clasp bodies 2 and 3 are linked rotatably facing each other by a hinge 4 near the central part with a specified gap and a spring 5 is provided thereon 2 and 3 to energize a rotating force. The side which is closed by a spring force of the spring 5 with the center line of rotation as boundary by the hinge 4 is made as grasping parts 6 and 7 of pearls while the side opposite thereto is made as operating parts 8 and 9, and an elastic sheet 10 comprising an elastic material is fastened on each of the sides facing each other of the grasping parts 6 and 7 to form a clasp 1 with a length adjusting function. One end part of a pearl necklace or the like is coupled to a coupling part 12 and, when the operating parts 8 and 9 are pinched intensely with fingers, the grasping parts 6 and 7 are opened. When the pearl at an arbitrary position is pinched and then, fingers are released, the grasping parts 6 and 7 pinch and grasp the pearl 21 intensely through the elastic sheet 10 by a spring force of the spring 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
