BLOOD TAKING APPLIANCE FOR PLASMA SEPARATION AND BLOOD TAKING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a solid anticoagulant to dissolve immediately when the blood advances into a test tube and to make it possible to maintain the state that the plasma and blood cell fractions do not contain foreign matter by providing the inside wall surface of a plastic container with a layer of this anticoagulant. SOLUTION: A blood taking assembly 10 includes the test tube 12 made of plastic and a prickable plug 14. The test tube 12 has a bottom wall 16 having the inside wall surface 10 and a side wall 18. This side wall 18 defines an open end 20 into which the plug 14 is insertable. The bottom wall 16, the side wall 18 and the plug 14 enclose the inside volume 22 of the test tube where a gelatinous barrier material 24 is housed. The layer 26 of heparin particles and more preferably its salt, for example, sodium heparin or lithium heparin is sprayed onto the inside wall surface 19 and is dried. The plug 14 includes a circular upper part 30 which spreads over the entire top end of the side wall 18 and a lower circular part or skirt 32 which holds the plug 14 at the proper point of the open end 20 and forms an interference fit to the inside wall surface 19.
