PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the management method and management device of a delivery timing instruction card capable of easily recognizing the consumption form of a component and efficiently judging whether or not a sign is lost. ;SOLUTION: A detached sign 12 is read in a sign read processing part 14 and the sign 12 is provided to a component plant by a delivery insruction processing part 16 at a prescribed timing. At the time, the delivery instruction conditions of the sign 12 are provided in a rotary sign table 20 and a rotary history table 24. A lost sign processing part 22 calculates a standard deviation σand prepares a histogram based on the data of the rotary sign table 20 or the rotary history table 24 and performs display at a display part 30. A sign manager judges whether component consumption is performed by a flow rack or a temporary placing shelf based on displayed contents and efficiently recognizes the presence/absence of the lost sign.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
