PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit the configuration of a module independently of a time limit and to change that configuration by independently transferring the module and time limit of processing of each other. ;SOLUTION: A storage part 104 stores a table composed of plural multimedia information processing methods and identification codes individually allocated to the respective kinds of processing. A storage part 105 stores an identification code train and the time restraint information of processing inputted from an input part 101. Afterwards, according to the identification code train and restraint information stored in the storage part 105, the data sequence of multimedia information inputted from the input part 101 is subjected to processing such as decoding by an execution part 102 and outputted to an output part 103. Further, concerning the change of module of processing, communication efficiency can be improved by transmitting only the identification code pair of the module.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
