PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the possibility of malfunction even if higher-frequency components are superposed by comparing the value of higher-frequency component filtering output with a circuit breaker's trip using respective reference values predetermined according to set characteristics and a plurality of functions, and, when any output lasts for a specified time, informing that using timer functions. ;SOLUTION: The title trip alarming device consists of a current transformer 5 attached at a specified point on a power supply lead-in wire; an alternating current-to-direct current converting function 6 for converting the output of the current transformer into direct current; a filtering function 7 for removing higher-frequency components superposed on its output value; and two or more comparing functions 8, 9, 10 that compare its output value with respective reference values predetermined according to set characteristics for commanding to trip the circuit breaker 2, attached in the specified position on the power supply lead-in wire, and that, when the value of output of the filtering function 7 is higher than the reference values, produce output. The trip alarming device is also provided with a timer functions 12, 13, 14 that, if the output of each comparing function lasts for a specified time, produces informing signal output, and an informing function 17 that performs different information depending on the output of the timer functions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
