PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a flame from being exposed out of a pan bottom part by a method wherein a pan diameter mounted on a supporting frame is detected and a maximum output of a cooking burner is increased or decreased in response to a value of detected value of the pan diameter. ;SOLUTION: There is provided a control circuit 9 for inputting detected signals of temperature sensors 81, 82, 83. A diameter of a pan is discriminated by judging whether or not a detected temperature of each of the temperature sensors is less than a predetermined temperature. A case in which the detected temperature of the first temperature sensor 81 is decreased irrespective of an ignited state of a cooking burner 4 corresponds to a case in which the pan is not placed on the supporting frame and so a presence or a non-presence of the pan is discriminated in response to the detected temperature of the first temperature sensor 81. A solenoid proportional valve 43 controls a degree of opening of it with a signal corresponding to a detected value of the pan diameter obtained from the control circuit 9. A maximum flame power of the cooking burner 4 attained when a flow rate adjustment valve 42 is fully opened is increased or decreased in response to a value of the detected value. With such an arrangement as above, the maximum flame power of the cooking heater burner 4 can be increased or decreased or corrected in response to the size of a pan so as to prevent the flame from being exposed out of the bottom part of the pan.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
