PURPOSE:To readily carry out highly efficient doping treatment in a short time by applying microwave heating to a nonmetal inorganic crystal material. CONSTITUTION:Microwave heating of a nonmetal inorganic crystal material is carried out. When the aforementioned nonmetal inorganic crystal material is irradiated with microwaves, strong heating is produced in an extremely short time to attain even partial red heating. When doping is carried out by irradiation of the aforementioned material with the microwaves, the material to be doped of course, together with a dopant, is ignited in a breath. Thereby, doping can be carried out in a state of rare scattering of the dopant. As a result, extremely effective doping can be performed. This is because the material to be doped itself causes self heating to provide efficient heating of course. The temperature of the material to be doped itself in the central part is increased as compared with that on the surface. The temperature gradient and the microwave strong electric field act to enable effective doping in a short time.
