CONSTITUTION:The reducing agent is added to the aq. soln. contg. an Fe(III) ion and [M(III)(CN)6]3- ion [where M(III) is Ru(III), Os(III) or Co(III)] at the time of immersing the substrate into the above-mentioned aq. soln. and depositing the mixed valence transition metal complex film on the substrate surface. The reducing agent having the reduction potential base than the transition metal cyano complex ion in the mixed aq. soln. is usable as the reducing agent to be used and above all, hypophosphite is more preferable in terms of a reaction rate and ease of handling.
