PURPOSE:To transform position information of a visual sensor coordinate system into position information of the coordinate system of a body by sending two-dimensional position information in the visual field of a visual sensor to a microcomputer in the image processor. CONSTITUTION:The image processor consists of the visual sensor 1, the microcomputer 4 which processes its position information, a memory which stores the processing result, a keyboard 8 as an external terminal, etc. Then, a thin plate body 2 is placed on the xy plane in the visual field of the sensor 1 and visual sensor two-dimensional position information of the coordinate system of the sensor 1 is inputted to the image memory 3 according to a command supplied from the keyboard 8. Further, the position information is transformed between the visual sensor coordinate system and body coordinate system by various kinds of algorithm in an external memory 6 according to angles of at least three points and the distance between two points.
