PURPOSE: To provide the structure which permits the installation of a courtyard which provides the exceedinglly excellent lighting performance and ventilating performance in a building, provides the integral constitution of the wall and fence of the building, reduces the fabrication cost of the fence, and effectively utilizes the site by securing the site for the building and the courtyard as large as possible and provides the excellent outside appearance. ;CONSTITUTION: A part of the outer wall 2 of a building 1 having at least a two-storied structure is constituted to an outer wall 3 which serves as fence, and a courtyard 4 is formed inside the outer wall 3, and a wall opened port 5 which communicates to the courtyard 4 is formed on the outer wall 3, and the upper space of the courtyard 4 is formed to an open ceiling 6. The roof 7 of the building 1 which covers the upper part of the open ceiling 6 is constituted to a large roof 8.
