Method for extending existing oil or gas platform at sea

An existing platform is provided with a deck extension (3), with deck plates and hand railing at the same height as on the existing deck. The fixture is dependent upon the performance and state of the existing platform (1). At the level of the water line, the platform is provided with a screening frame (4), to support the connecting pipes (5) in a horizontal direction against wave and flow forces. A connecting pipe (5), in which the well connections are fixed, is provided under water with a reinforcement pipe (6), a part of which is sunken into sea bed and is larger in diameter than the connecting pipe. The space between the reinforcement pipe and the connecting pipe is filled with cement, so that the reinforcement pipe absorbs a large part of the wave and flow forces acting on the connecting pipe.
