A system for automating the control and regulation of machines and plants inthe plastics industry, especially for blow-moulding machines, withprogrammable controllers via which the control and regulation functions of themachines and plants can be implemented as desired and which have at least oneoperating and monitoring device and a local bus (user platform), in which theprogrammable controllers have digital technology units (10) imitatingindividual electric circuit components by means of which the desired controland regulation functions can be modularly implemented and which are connectedto the user platform via data interfaces.
