摘要

A method for reducing the frictional resistance of a hull (2) and a frictional resistance reduced vessel employing the same method. The method comprises the steps of blowing out fine air bubbles (8) having a required diameter from positions which are in the vicinity of starting points of flowing lines (F.L.) of water extending from light-draft positions in submerged portions of a bow portion (4) of the hull (2) of a vessel (1) to a vessel bottom (5) along the hull surface on both gunwales and where the static pressure is small, and distributing the fine air bubbles (8) to at least a part of the area surrounding the submerged portions of the hull (2) by causing the blown-out fine air bubbles to move around the vessel bottom (5) along the flowing lines (F.L.) so as to reduce the frictional resistance of the hull when cruising.
