a process for the production of silver metal oxide material for use in electrical contact is to be oxidized silver alloy metal dissolved in an atmosphere of oxidation. the atmosphere has a sufficient amount of a halide oxidation to inhibit formation of protective oxide scale on the alloy.the invention also relates to a silver metal oxide material produced according to this process, as well as an electrical contact with the silver metal oxide material.
