The delay detection device of the present invention which detects a phase difference from a phase modulated signal includes two samplers (1.2) and a delay component by time-division multiplexing the data from the sampler so that a part of the cosine component of the phase difference of the modulated signal is partially and remaining. It consists of a delay detection operation part 3 which outputs the alternating data sequence, the data sequence which a part and the remaining part of the sine component of the said phase difference alternate, and two post-detection filters 4.5.
