The detector has a bistable trigger circuit provided with set- and reset inputs, which trigger either a reference signal (Ref1) or a phase-modulated signal (P1). The trigger circuit is controlled with the phase-modulated and reference signals, which are respectively derived from another reference signal (Ref0) and another phase-modulated signal (P0). Pulse- or stop durations of the trigger circuit stand in relation to a phase angle of an input signal. Frequencies of the former phase-modulated and reference signals amount to a preset portion of a source signal.
