FIELD: superconducting materials. SUBSTANCE: method involves induction of ring current in sample and detection of critical current using current of exciting inductance coil. Ring current in sample is induced by arbitrary shape flat field of sine current of increasing amplitude at frequency of 340-360 kHz. Output sine signal from receiving coil flops down to level of zero potential region of maximal amplitude. Then amplitude of exciting sine current is increased until non-zero potential is detected in flop region. Value of critical current is judged by exciting current amplitude which has been detected in this moment. EFFECT: increased precision. 2 dwg
