METHOD FOR EVALUATING TREATMENT EFFECTIVENESS IN ATOPIC DERMATITIS PATIENTS

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out clinic immunologic examination of a patient with additional provocative application tests before and after the treatment. The provocative application tests are performed as follows. Gauze wetted with aqueous salt extraction of allergen having in 1 ml the amount of 10000 PNU mixed with 50% glycerin in 1:10 proportion is applied to the skin areas not damaged with the pathologic process and fixed for 48 h. Control liquid test is concurrently carried out in mixture with 50% glycerin in 1:10 proportion. After removing the gauze bandage, skin state is evaluated using 3 level score method: 1 is for erythema, 2 is for erythema, edema and vesiculation, 3 is for superficial erosion on the background of erythema and edema. The treatment is evaluated as efficient if marked degree of clinical morphological manifestations is found to become lower at the place of allergen-to-skin contact after treatment. EFFECT: simplified method; enhanced accuracy of evaluation.
