Friction wheel drive having a guide with two joints (4,5) arranged in series and spaced apart from each other which are connected to a drive unit (7) for the driven wheel (2). The joints are formed such that a movement of the drive unit or the drive shaft (9) ensures that the linear contact surfaces of the driving wheel and the driven wheel (1) are alignable parallel to each other. The joints are flexible joints or sliding bearings, roller bearings and/or flow bearings.
