The crank housing (9) outlet (11) is connected to the suction wing (2) of the piston compressor via connecting pipe. There is a mechanism in the connection pipe for cleaning the discharged air. The mechanism consists of a lubrication separator (12) which has a chamber (13) for collecting the separated lubricants. A return pipe (15) connects the lubricant separator chamber with the crank housing. The return pipe is guided below the minimum necessary lubricant level into the crank housing for orderly operation of the compressor. The chamber of the lubricant separator is arranged above the maximum lubricant level.
