Correction equipment for aligning joints between material plates with dimensional variation prior to forming a single larger panel

A system for correcting the misalignment of plate-like products(4) with slight dimensional differences placed adjacent to each other to form a large panel includes a supporting surface (3) with openings for the passage of adjusters (6) along the joints between plates(4). Adjusters (6) are pointed, pref. wedge or conically shaped, have a small lateral dimension relative to the length of a plate (4) edge and their tips lie in a plane parallel to the plate support (3). Adjusters (6) are mounted on a carrier (5) and arranged in a pattern appropriate to the plate (4) size along the imaginary centre lines between adjacent plates (4). Vertical movement of the carrier (5) moves the adjusters (6) vertically and contact between the inclined faces of each adjuster (6) and an adjacent plate (4) pushes the latter (4) sideways until straight uniform gaps are created between each plate row.
