Removal of cinders and ashes from fire grates in boiler plants

The arrangement makes use of an infra-red camera to monitor the degree of build-up of cinders and ashes in a boiler installation after which an impact generator is switched on. The images from the camera, taken at critical positions, are evaluated on a computer. According to the results from the computer evaluation, a cleaning program is initiated in which the strength of the impact waves and the positions to which they are applied are controlled. The result of the cleaning operation is also evaluated by the camera.
