Stepping frequency circuit of stepper-motor drive e.g. for office machines and printers

The circuit has chopper end (output) stages (1,2) for supplying the current to the stepper motor windings, supplied with logic phase signals (PH12,PH34) from a signal generator (3). Logic chopper signals (CH12,CH34) obtained from the outputs of the chopper end stages are fed to a chopper pulse evaluation stage (4.2) providing a stepping pulse (FSF) for the next motor winding, with a pulse selection circuit (14) and a switching device (7) only supplying the evaluation stage with the chopper signals initiating output of a stepping pulse for the next motor winding.
