Chloride content control process for gypsum produced by waste gas desulphurisation

A process for the indirect control of chloride content in raw gypsum produced by a smoke gas desulphurisation plant comprises dewatering the gypsum on a band filter. The temperature of the dewatered gypsum (3) is measured at the end of the filter (2), and is compared with a limiting temperature. A proportional difference signal (11) is produced, which corresponds to the chloride content.
