Free terrain combat simulation in spatially limited training ground

The method includes the step of equipping at least a part of the movable combat units (5) participating in a simulated combat with optic reflectors, to reflect hitting laser light to a reception unit. During the combat simulation each place of the training ground is scanned continuously or in certain intervals through a laser beam (1) emitted from a stationary source (4). The spatial coordinates of all combat units are determined from the reflections of the laser beam recorded by the reception unit, and evaluated in their spatial relationship with respect to each other.
