The electrical snap-action switch has a single push button actuator [6] that operates against movable contact carriers that have contacts [15,17] on top and bottom surfaces that engage either fixed top contacts or fixed bottom contacts. The carriers are held against centre location points [2526] by a coil spring [10] that has hook shaped fixings [21,22]. Operation of the push button cause the contact carriers to pivot until a dead centre position is passed to cause the line of force of the spring to change and so change over the switch contacts ADVANTAGE : Improved switching action of the insulated switching systems; reduced number of parts.
