The plate (1) is designed for use as a ball massaging device. It may have an elongated handle for convenience in use. The back of the massaging device is a convex plate with a gentle curvature. The back portion is connected to the front portion by a flexible bellows section. The front portion has a hemispherical projection which is used for massaging the muscles of the patient. The whole assembly may be made of plastics moulded in one piece and the minimum radius of curvature of the bellows section may be greater than 5 mm.
