Optical probe for spectroscopy by total attenuated reflection, containing a rod (1) made of transparent material limited, at the coupling end, by two zones (12) respectively of injection and extraction of an optical analysis beam which follows a trajectory including a reflection off the opposite end of the rod, and total attenuated reflections on the side walls (3, 4) of the rod. Next to the coupling end of the rod is an enlarged portion (10, 11) which has a deflecting surface (15) to alter the phase of the injection and extraction beams and to make them parallel.
