PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet spray method using a castable refractory composition low in water content to obtain a dense monolithic refractory execution body having high density, high strength and high corrosion resistance. ;SOLUTION: In this wet spray method, the casting refractory composition containing no cement and added externally, by weight, by 0.01-1.0% dispersing agent to the total 100% of 70-98% refractory aggregate such as electromelting alumina and silicon carbide with is regulated to the grain size of ≤10mm, and 2-30% refractory fine powder such as alumina and amorphous silica of ≤10μm in grain size, the casting refractory composition is kneaded with water or other kneading solution so as to be regulated for the workability of the casting softness, and the regulated refractory is fed to a spray nozzle by a force feed pump, and the spay is performed together with the compressed air using the spray nozzle after adding externally 0.1-1% shape retention imparting agent consistent of alkali silicate or alkali almina in the condition of aqueous solution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
