PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the tracking by generating and holding a signal being one before a header part comes to deal with from a signal generating means, directly generating the signal for parts other than the header part, and controlling the movement of a condensing means by a generated tracking error signal. ;SOLUTION: A differential amplifier OP1 supplies a tracking signal corresponding to a difference in outputs between an adder 26c and 26d to a tracking control circuit 28 and a header part detection circuit 40. Thus, the header part detection circuit 40 supplies a header part detecting signal to the tracking control circuit 28. The tracking control circuit 28 makes a track driving signal based on the tracking error signal from the differential amplifier OP1 and the header part detecting signal from the header part detection circuit 40. This track driving signal is supplied to the driving coil 11 of a tracking direction, and the tracking error signal used by the tracking control circuit 28 is supplied to a linear motor control circuit 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
