MENU REPRODUCTION METHOD IN DVDP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the system control addition by controlling the menu reproduction, which is conventionally performed by the system control part, through an audio/video decoder without error in the case of menu reproduction. ;SOLUTION: An audio/video decoder part 20 receives a bit stream transmitted from a system control part 24 and displays a menu based on the information of subpicture data pack SP. Afterwards, the audio/video decoder 20 reads high- light information HLI in the received pack and there is a compulsive select button, this button is high-lighted on a screen. Afterwards, the audio/video decoder part 20 transmits information showing the setting of the compulsive select button to the system control part 24. When the number of high-light executed button and a button command to be executed are not received from the audio/video decoder part 20, on the other hand, the system control part repeatedly executes this step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
