PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensive temporary rust preventive, cured within 5min at 40-60°C and capable of self restoring a scratch on a transfer roll, and a steel material coated by the temporary rust preventive. ;SOLUTION: A rust preventive is constituted of the principal constituents of solvent as well as resin and containing 60-90wt.% of solvent having the boiling point of 15°C or lower, and provided with low-temperature quickly curing property as well as excellent self-restoring property. The viscosity of the rust preventive is 5-15sec in Ford cup run-off viscosity. The coated steel material is constituted of any one of temporary rust preventive, applied thereon.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
