PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance acid resistance, reduce product cost, and make material recycle easy by applying additive decoration treatment for selectively forming a deterioration part such as a part where optical property is changed or a carved part on the surface by direct irradiation of laser beams to a cover made of resin. SOLUTION: Laser beams 4 of an additive decoration treatment device 1 using preferably YAG laser are emitted from a laser head 2, scanned with a scanning device 3, and irradiated a cover 5 of a storage battery. By irradiation, micro irregularities and discoloring close the white are produced in a laser beam irradiated part on the surface of the cover 5 of the storage battery, made of polypropylene to which a coloring agent of black for example is blended, and writing of letters, marks, or graphic is made possible. The coloring agent may have a color other than black, and a color development agent reacting with laser beams 4 may be added. The letters or the like formed by additive decoration treatment have high acid resistance and high optical resistance, and cost is reduced than sticking for a seal although a dedicated device is needed.
