PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reversibly thermal discoloring pressure-sensitive transfer tape by laminating a reversibly thermal discoloring resin layer containing a pressure-sensitive adhesive resin and a reversibly thermal discoloring pigment, directly or through a mold lubricating layer, on one of the faces of a support. ;SOLUTION: A mold lubricating layer 3, a transparent resin layer (about 5μm thick) 6 of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate resin and a reversibly thermal discoloring resin layer 4 obtained by dispersing a reversibly thermal discoloring pigment which turns black at not higher than about 35°C and turns colorless at higher than about 35°C into an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive and applying the dispersion, are laminated on the surface of a strip-like support 2 of PET film. Thus a reversibly thermal discoloring pressure-sensitive transfer tape 1 is obtained. Next, the reversibly thermal discoloring resin layer 4 side of the reversibly thermal discoloring pressure-sensitive transfer tape 1 is attached to the surface of a sheet on which a character is written and the transparent resin layer 6 and the reversibly thermal discoloring resin layer 4 are transferred to the surface of a character after peeling the support 2. In addition, the surface of the sheet to which the transparent resin layer 6 and the reversibly thermal discoloring resin layer 4 are transferred does not visualize the character at a room temperature of about 25°C.
