PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating a characteristic estimative parameter of a cell which can calculate the output signal waveform and delay the of a cell with high accuracy. ;SOLUTION: This method replaces a cell with a circuit model 10 which consists of variable resistance 12 and 13 which represent a resistance value in a model expression in which the inclination of an input signal waveform and the capacity value of load capacity are variables, a constant voltage source 11 and internal capacitors 14 and 15. It calculates a coefficient of the model expression based on a simulation result to the cell and makes a function that represents the resistance value of the resistance 12 and 13 which is acquired by assigning the coefficient to the model expression a characteristic estimative parameter for the cell. Because the output signal waveform of the cell can be expressed as a function of time where the inclination of the input signal waveform and the capacity value of load capacity are variables by using the characteristic estimative parameter, the waveform propagation between the input and output of the cell can be estimated. Furthermore, a circuit model 10A that is provided with variable admittances 17 and 18 may be used instead of the resistance 12 and 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
