METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPTIMIZING DATA TRANSMISSION LINE BAND WIDTH OCCUPANCY IN MULTIPLEX PRIORITY DATA TRAFFIC ENVIRONMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize data communication network band width occupancy in a multiplex priority data traffic environment by multiplexing the link of a low speed or a virtual channel and simulating a high band width link. ;SOLUTION: Traffic is supplied through the data packet of a fixed length or a variable length to a network at random and the data packet is stored in an output queue selected according to service quality based on respective priority levels on the transmission side of a node or inside an output adapter. Then, the respective data packets are divided into segments including a packet number and a segment number. Then, a link condition control word is generated. In this case, the output queue is monitored and scanned in the descending order of priority, and based on.the display of a large band link availability control word, the segment of the packet made into the queue on the output link of the node or the virtual channel is multiplexed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
