PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base with the strength enough for enduring the grinding stress at the machining of high efficiency, to reduce the distortion of the base caused by the heat generated at that time, and to prevent the deterioration of the bonding material by the heat, in a super abrasive grain grinder obtained by fixing the super abrasive grain to the base by the bonding material, by forming the base of W or Mo. ;SOLUTION: W or Mo is used in a base of a super abrasive grain grinder. The necessary and essential properties of the base material is that this base is free from the distortion by the grinding stress generated at the machining, and the base is not broken even when the excess stress is applied thereto. Further the more a value of the elastic modulus of the base, the less the displacement by the grinding stress during the machining is. In the comparison of the elastic modulus of the material used in the base, the values of the elastic modulus of W and Mo, are higher than that of steel. This means that the distortion of the base made of W and MO, is less, and high machining accuracy can be obtained. Further the W and Mo are only plastically deformed, even when the excess grinding stress is generated, so that the super abrasive grain grinder can be prevented from broken and scattered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
